Carlos Moya has been serving on the mission field in Barcelona, Spain since 2014 where he equips leaders through the teaching of theological, biblical and spiritual truths.  Carlos received his bachelor’s degree in theology at FIT IBSTE Barcelona in 2009, and his masters in theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2014.

Carlos’ ministry has three main areas:
First, where he spends most of his time, and serves everyday: “Facultad de Teología IBSTE” (University of Theology IBSTE). Carlos serves as a professor mainly in New Testament exposition área and he is also Director of Admissions. He is passionate about allowing the Bible to speak truth to the hearts of the students through Christ-centered preaching, exegesis, theological reflection, critical thinking, spiritual transformation, emotional connection, and pastoral care. He likes spending time with the students outside of the classroom in order to create a warm atmosphere and community. He loves helping the students to see their potential for life and ministry.

Second, Carlos serves at the local church of Castelldefels through the preaching and teaching of the Bible. Although his main focus is the Bible Seminar, he is highly committed to the life of the local church where he preaches, plays bass guitar and disciples young believers.

Third, Carlos has been praying for a non-western country to get involved and gain appreciation for different expressions of the gospel worldwide, as well as a better understanding of God’s Kingdom. God has opened the door for Carlos to connect with a church in Nairobi, Kenya, in order to send and receive teams to serve and learn from them. He is working on leading a team every summer to serve in Kenya in a community that lives in conditions of extreme poverty and total abandon.

Lastly, Carlos loves his three children Dylan (13), Mia (9) and Evan (6). Nothing compares to the joy that he experiences as he spends time with them. Family is his real passion and seeing his kids grow, developing their potential, brings him great joy.

Carlos loves sports, nature, friends, reading, playing guitar, connecting with young people, Instagram, sushi, tacos, fruits and the ocean! Please keep this ministry in your prayers.
