Cody Johnson
Deacon

Cody grew up near in the Cedar Creek Lake area. He was saved at the age of 17 and began eagerly studying the Word and serving in his church as opportunities presented themselves.
He moved to Corsicana in 1999 where he attended Navarro College and later entered into the teaching program at Texas A&M Commerce through their partnership with Navarro. He obtained his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2003 and began teaching in Corsicana ISD that same year.
Cody first met his future bride, Amanda, in their church youth group and they began dating in 2000. They got married in June of 2003 and have been blessed with two children.
Over the years, Cody and his family have always found ways to serve where God has led them. In 2012, at the encouragement of some friends, they found themselves at Believers Bible Church and have been faithful members ever since. About 10 years ago, BBC asked Cody to serve in the role of deacon, and after much prayer, he accepted.
When he is not teaching or serving the body of Believers Bible Church, he enjoys playing board games with his family, working on home and yard projects, bird watching, playing his banjo & bass, reading, studying God's Word, rebinding Bibles, and book repair. While he may wear many hats, his favorite is that of husband and dad. He is passionate about family discipleship and leading his family to know, love, and serve the Lord.
